The "Land, soil and underground control" section carries out preventive, running and consequent control for preservation and protection of land and soil. Its main functions are to avoid contamination and distraction of the soils and to monitor for their reasonable utilization.
Preventive control and services
* Coordination of annual technical projects for:
- Assessment of projects for research & development, extraction and primary treatment of underground natural resources;
- Assessment of projects for recultivation of injured areas as a result from research & development, extraction and primary treatment of underground natural resources;
- Assessment for projects competing for funding under the "SAPARD" program;
- Assessment for projects competing for funding under the "Management of activities regarding preservation of the environment" program, which is related to preservation and rehabilitation of soils, ecological agriculture and farming.
* Participation in commissions with the task to change the purpose of utilization of agricultural lands and forested lands.
Running soil control in relation to:
* Contamination with harmful substances including radioactive substances;
* Rehabilitation of contaminated areas and soils as a result of extraction and treatment of natural resources;
* Burning of plant waste
*Control on the execution of projects funded under the "Management of activities regarding preservation of the environment" program, which is related to preservation and rehabilitation of soils, ecological agriculture and farming.
